Wag Himera is one of the undernutrition hotspots in Ethiopia. Erratic rainfalls make livelihoods unpredictable and force tens of thousands households to look for emergency and humanitarian aid each year.
The humanitarian and emergency responses by WDA mainly target:
- Elderly, women, and children with no regular means of income or support.
- IDPs due to armed conflicts.
- Those whose livelihoods are damaged by sudden shocks (e.g., pandemics, floods, accidents, locust).
